Style and Price Guide
We are pleased to provide you with this style and price guide showing line drawing renderings of our furniture with dimensions, prices and some popular options. We hope it is a help in planning your room design and furniture purchase. In addition to our standard products shown, we offer customization of dimensions, alternate wood species, alternate finishes, alternate edge routs, and other custom work. Please call a sales representative for more information.
Prices, design specifications, product availability and terms and conditions of sale and delivery charges are subject to change without notice.
Custom Order
A $300 non-refundable design services deposit is required depending on the scope of the project, which is credited to the purchase. This includes 5 hours of design time. Additional design time will be charged at $75 per hour. A $500 non non-refundable design services deposit is required for design services which includes a site visit, which is credited to the purchase. Due to the extra engineering involved in custom pieces lead times can be 2-4 weeks longer than standard pieces.
Delivery
In Continental US-Chairs, Stools, Bar Stools, & End Tables shipped individually $125, Rocking Chairs $200
A local delivery charge for the greater Boston, MA area (east of I-91, from CT line to NH line) of $250
A New England delivery charge of $400.00 for Western MA and the remaining New England States
Remaining continental US states including Cape Cod & Mass. Islands a rate of 12% of the selling price for long distance deliveries with a maximum delivery charge of $1,200 for all long distance deliveries valued under $50,000 retail. These deliveries are subject to the following minimum charges: New York City to Washington DC & Cape Cod, Western New York State/Western Pennsylvania and remaining US States & Mass. Islands - $600
Wall Units add $250
Pick up is available at our Holden location free of charge or in Newton Lower Falls for $75.
Delays
Dovetail is not liable for failure to ship by the acknowledged shipping date or any other date. Dovetail is not liable for a delay or failure in shipment or performance if the delay or failure is caused by acts or omission of Customer, its agents, employees, contractors, a governmental authority, or God; delays in transportation; or other similar causes that are not within Dovetail’s reasonable control. Dovetail is excused from further performance of its obligations for the duration of a force majeure cause.
Storage
If Customer cannot accept delivery when products are ready, Dovetail reserves the right to transfer products to storage and products are invoiced at that time. Customer is responsible for actual storage charges and any other expenses relating to the storage of products or materials that Dovetail incurs. Customer bears all risk of loss for products or materials in storage.
Payment Terms
We require 50% non-refundable deposit with your order. The balance is required prior to delivery. We accept personal checks, American Express, Visa, Mastercard or Discover. We will send a written confirmation of order acceptance, estimated delivery time and balance due including packing, shipping & handling and applicable taxes.
Inscriptions
If you would like a personal inscription on a piece, we can attach an engraved brass plaque for $25.
Gifts
Give a gift of permanence through a "Dovetail Gift Certificate". A Dovetail gift certificate is appropriate for any occasion and always pleases. Give a gift of lasting beauty.
Measuring
We appreciate your business, and for all of us to be happy and for a smooth delivery day please be make sure that the pieces you order will fit into your home. This means furniture must fit through all doors, hallways, stairways and or elevators.

Order Lead-time
Our furniture is handcrafted and built specifically to customer order. Standard lead-times are 10 to 14 weeks from order approval date. Lead-times may be 2-4 weeks longer for custom work. Please call for current lead-time estimates.
Guarantee
We are committed to quality and complete customer satisfaction. We provide a full guarantee against any defects in materials and workmanship. Please call for details or any questions.
Type of Wood
All pricing is based on Cherry, our standard wood. Maple, Ash or White Oak are also available at no additional charge. Other woods are available with an upcharge: Mahogany or Walnut is 20%; Birds Eye Maple, Curly Maple and many other woods and exotic woods are also available - quoted on an individual basis.
Adding Decorative Detail
We can mix wood species (such as maple and cherry) or add highly figured woods (such as Curly or Bird’s Eye Maple or Burled Walnut or Curly Cherry) to provide accent or decorative detail to any piece. Table skirts, drawer faces or door panels can typically be done in a complementary or highly figured wood at modest additional cost to the piece. Ask for details and examples. Many choices are included in the pricing guide. Please indicate any special requests for graining.
Upholstery
We offer a selection of the finest quality fabrics from Robert Allen, Knoll, Duralee and Kravet. If you prefer leather we offer a wide variety of textures and colors in the finest grades of leathers. You can also choose to supply your own fabric. If an order includes Customer-supplied materials, Customer must ship those materials to Dovetail at Customer’s own expense. The materials must be tagged with Customer’s name, and Dovetails purchase order number. Dovetail is not liable for inadequacies in Customer’s materials. Dovetail will notify Customer of any apparent defects in Customer’s materials before manufacturing. Please allow four weeks from receipt of materials for order completion.
